Bitcoin and Socks

A couple of years ago I needed Bitcoin to buy some software. (it's not important what) The important part is that I had change left over. At the time, remaining Bitcoin was worth about $20. Last December it was worth more than $750. I sold it. In hindsight it was excellent timing. This was when Bitcoin was about $16,000. of course it will never get higher than that. and I'll laugh at myself in the future if it does. But I'm getting off track.

I was thinking of what to do with this small windfall when I remembered something. I had always wondered, "Why are some some socks $15+ a pair, when others are $15 a dozen? Obviously they're better. But are they really that much better?"

I was given a pair of Darn Tough socks for Christmas. They were fantastic. I wore the for one day and fell in love. Yes, with socks! Shut up. Any way... I looked them up on-line, and found out they cost $18 a pair, and that they have a lifetime replacement guarantee. Sold! I bought a dozen pairs. I've been wearing them ever since. Of the 24 individual socks, one fit oddly. Like one section of it was shorter than it should be. It just fit weird. I told them they just gave me a credit for another pair. That easy.

After more than 2 months. I couldn't be happier with them. I'll absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking at getting themselves a whole new set of socks. Everyone should treat themselves to high end socks. They really are that much better! And Darn Tough is a great choice.
